22nd–26th January 2027 | Chennai, India
By The Pole Camp Retreats
This is not a weekend of collecting tricks.
It’s five days built around serious training, beautiful movement, new perspectives, play, recovery, art and community — the kind of experience you come out of feeling stronger, creatively charged, slightly exhausted, deeply inspired, and very glad you said yes.
We’re bringing together Yvonne, Macie, Anusha and Ashwin for an intimate Pole Art Intensive at The Pole Camp, ECR.
You’ll train with different artists, different movement languages and different approaches to pole — while still having the space to actually absorb what you’re learning.
Because we don’t believe becoming a better mover only happens while you’re on the pole.
So somewhere between the workshops, we’re taking you to the beach. We’re surfing. We’re putting poles by the sea. We’re getting our hands into clay. We’re drinking coffee, meeting people, sharing space, resting, laughing, probably complaining about our sore bodies — and then getting back on the pole anyway.
Train hard. Learn differently. Make things. Meet people. Get in the ocean. Come back inspired.
That’s the idea.
₹53,999 + 5% GST
For pole dancers who have moved beyond the absolute beginner stage and are ready to expand their vocabulary, technique, strength and movement quality.
Your intensive includes 7 × 90-minute workshops:
Macie × 3
Yvonne × 2
Anusha × 1
Ashwin × 1
Because we couldn’t call ourselves The Pole Camp Retreats and make you stare at four walls for five days.
25th January is our reset day.
No studio workshops.
We head to the coast for a day of surfing, beach pole, movement, sunshine and recovery before returning for the final day of training.
Your surfing session is included in your retreat pass.
At some point, we’re asking your grip strength to please take the day off.
You’ll join Anusha for a relaxed clay hand-building session — no pottery experience required, no pressure to make anything remotely useful.
Just make something with your hands.
Clay and materials are included.
Coffee.
Open pole.
Pole jams.
Conversations with people who understand why voluntarily bruising your inner thighs is a hobby.
Time to recover.
Time to explore ECR.
And hopefully some new friendships that survive long after the bruises disappear.
Your Pole Art Intensive registration includes 7 workshops for your selected track (or 14 workshops with the Both-Track Pass), all scheduled retreat programming, Surf & Beach Pole Day, surfing session and equipment, Creative Recovery clay session and materials, open pole/pole jam sessions where scheduled, coffee during scheduled retreat days, access to The Pole Camp ECR for scheduled sessions, and the closing experience/certificate.
Photos and videos will also be captured throughout the intensive so we can document the experience.
Your registration does not include accommodation, flights or travel to Chennai, airport transfers, transportation to/from the studio, transportation to/from the beach and other off-site locations, meals unless specifically stated, travel or medical insurance, personal expenses, sightseeing, private lessons, or activities you choose to do outside the official itinerary.
If you’re travelling to Chennai, we’re happy to share recommendations to help you plan your stay, but participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own accommodation and transportation.
We know this is the boring bit.
It’s also the important bit.
Once your spot is booked:
There are no refunds.
There are no cancellations.
There are no transfers to another person.
There are no credits toward future Pole Camp classes, retreats or events.
There are no compensatory classes for sessions you miss.
This applies regardless of illness, injury, travel disruption, flight cancellation, visa issues, work commitments, personal circumstances or a change of plans.
Please make sure you can attend the intensive before purchasing your pass.
We strongly recommend that anyone travelling for the intensive purchase appropriate travel insurance covering cancellations, medical emergencies and travel disruptions.
Please register for the track that genuinely reflects your current pole level.
The level recommendations exist for both your safety and the quality of everyone’s training experience.
The Pole Camp reserves the right to recommend moving a participant to a more appropriate track if we believe their selected level is unsafe or significantly unsuitable.
Purchasing a single-track pass gives you access only to the workshops within your registered track.
Pole is a physically demanding activity.
Participants are responsible for communicating existing injuries or limitations to instructors before training and for making decisions appropriate to their own bodies.
Participation in any trick, progression or activity is always optional.
If you are injured during or before the intensive and cannot participate, the standard cancellation and refund policy still applies.
While we intend to deliver the programme exactly as announced, schedules may occasionally need to change due to circumstances outside our control.
The Pole Camp reserves the right to make reasonable changes to workshop timings, workshop content, instructors or retreat activities where necessary.
Any important changes will be communicated to registered participants.
This is also a documented retreat experience.
Photos and videos may be taken during workshops and retreat activities and may be used by The Pole Camp / The Pole Camp Retreats for social media, website, advertising and future event promotion.
If you have a specific privacy concern, please speak to our team before the intensive begins.
You don’t have to be the strongest person in the room.
You don’t have to nail everything.
You don’t have to arrive with something to prove.
Come ready to learn.
Come curious.
Come prepared to be challenged.
Come willing to be bad at something before you become good at it.
Come meet dancers you might never otherwise have met.
Come spend five days doing something you love with people who love it just as much.
Leave stronger.
Leave inspired.
Leave with new tools, new ideas, new friends, and hopefully a slightly different relationship with your own movement.
