Strength & Flexibilitly are fundamental components of a well-rounded fitness routine especially for movement based art forms.

There are several significant benefits to enhancing flexibility. Improved range of motion is perhaps the most obvious, allowing individuals to perform daily activities and athletic maneuvers with greater ease. Flexibility training also reduces the risk of injuries by enhancing muscle coordination and balance, and by helping to prevent strains and sprains. Moreover, it can lead to better posture and alignment, reducing muscle soreness and tension, and boosting overall athletic performance.

Various methods can be employed to improve flexibility. We have combined both static and dynamic elements, promoting flexibility, strength, and balance through a series of poses and stretches.

Despite its benefits, flexibility training is often misunderstood. Many believe it is only necessary for athletes or those engaged in rigorous physical activity. In reality, everyone can benefit from flexibility exercises, and they should be integrated into any fitness regimen. Start with gentle stretching post-exercise when muscles are warm, and gradually incorporate more comprehensive routines. Consistency is key, and over time, the body will adapt, resulting in improved flexibility and overall fitness.

Balancing strength training with flexibility exercises is vital to avoid overtraining and ensure a well-rounded fitness routine. Flexibility exercises complement strength training by improving muscle elasticity and joint mobility, reducing the risk of injury. For beginners, it is recommended to start a strength training program gradually, focusing on proper form and technique to prevent injuries. Progression can be achieved by gradually increasing the resistance or weight, ensuring consistent and safe improvement in strength.

In this course we focus on flexibility, strength and conditioning, floor work, movement routines, dance and more.
